Health Disclaimer
Jabo is designed for personal tracking and educational purposes only. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations. Estimated medication level charts are calculated from general pharmacokinetic data and are for informational purposes only — they are not a substitute for professional medical guidance. Jabo never automatically changes or increases your dose; any "next jab" suggestion always repeats your last logged dose. Always consult your healthcare provider before starting, stopping, or changing any medication, dose, or treatment plan, and before making any medical decisions. For the full disclaimer and a list of the sources behind Jabo's medication information, see our Medical Disclaimer page.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide Directly
When you use Jabo, you may enter the following information yourself:
- Medication name, type (e.g. semaglutide, tirzepatide), and dosage strength
- Jab/injection dates, times, and injection site
- Side effects and personal notes you choose to log
- Weight, height, and goal weight
- Onboarding quiz answers (e.g. your medication, goals, and habits) used to personalise the app
- Notification and measurement unit preferences
1.2 Information from Apple Health (HealthKit)
If you choose to connect Apple Health, Jabo requests read-only access to the following data types, which we use solely to display your own insights inside the app:
- Body weight and height
- Step count and workouts
- Dietary energy (calories), protein, carbohydrates, fibre, and water intake
Jabo never writes data back to Apple Health, and we do not use HealthKit data for advertising, marketing, or data-mining purposes, and we do not sell it, consistent with Apple's requirements for apps that use HealthKit. You can review or revoke Jabo's access to Health data at any time in the Health app under Sharing → Apps → Jabo, or in iOS Settings under Privacy & Security → Health.
1.3 Automatically Collected Information
We automatically collect limited technical and usage information to keep Jabo working reliably and to understand how it's used:
- Device model, operating system version, and app version
- In-app usage events (e.g. screens viewed, buttons tapped, features used)
- Crash and performance diagnostics
- With your permission, your device's advertising identifier (IDFA), used only for ad-campaign measurement as described below
The first time you complete setup, Jabo asks for your permission (via Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework) to use your device's advertising identifier (IDFA). We use this only to measure how effective our own advertising campaigns are — for example, understanding that an install came from a particular ad on Meta, Google, or TikTok — so we can reach more people who could benefit from Jabo. We do not use this identifier to show you ads inside the App, and declining this permission has no effect on any feature of Jabo. You can review or change your choice at any time in iOS Settings under Privacy & Security → Tracking.
1.4 Subscription and Purchase Information
Jabo+ subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store; we never see or store your payment card details. Our subscription platform, RevenueCat, receives your subscription status, purchase history, and an anonymous app-instance identifier (also shared with our analytics provider, Firebase, for attribution purposes) so we can unlock premium features and understand subscription performance.
1.5 Push Notification Data
If you enable notifications, our push provider, OneSignal, stores a device push token so we can deliver Jabo's own reminders (e.g. upcoming jab reminders, trial-ending reminders). This token is used only to send notifications from Jabo and is not shared for advertising purposes.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above to:
- Log your jabs and calculate estimated medication levels and dose-related insights
- Send reminders so you don't miss a scheduled jab
- Show your weight, side-effect, and progress trends over time
- Generate the optional PDF medical report you choose to create and share
- Personalise onboarding and in-app content based on your medication and goals
- Process and manage your Jabo+ subscription
- Understand feature usage and fix bugs, using aggregated, non-identifying analytics
- Provide customer support when you contact us
3. Where Your Data Is Stored
Your jab log, medications, side effects, notes, and other health entries are stored locally on your device in Jabo's on-device database. This data is not synced to iCloud or to London App Studio's own servers by the App itself. A small, limited snapshot (e.g. your next scheduled jab) is shared with the Jabo home screen widget through Apple's App Group storage, which also stays entirely on your device. Data handled by our third-party service providers (see below) is stored on those providers' own servers, governed by their respective privacy policies.
4. Third-Party Services We Use
Jabo uses the following third-party services to operate. Each processes a limited set of data as described above, strictly to provide their service to us:
- Mixpanel — product analytics (feature usage, screen views). See Mixpanel's privacy policy.
- Firebase (Google) — analytics and subscription attribution. See Firebase's privacy policy.
- RevenueCat — subscription and purchase management. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
- OneSignal — push notification delivery. See OneSignal's privacy policy.
- Apple (App Store, StoreKit, HealthKit) — payment processing and, if you opt in, Health data access, both governed by Apple's own privacy practices.
5. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal or health information, and we never will. We only share limited data with the service providers listed above, strictly as needed to operate Jabo. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our legal rights, or to investigate fraud or abuse.
6. Medical Report Exports
Jabo's optional medical report feature generates a PDF summary of your dose history, weight trend, and side effects entirely on your device. This report is only shared if and when you choose to share it (for example, through the iOS share sheet with your healthcare provider). London App Studio does not receive, store, or have access to a copy of any medical report you generate or share.
7. How to Delete Your Data
Jabo does not use an account or login system, so most of your data is stored only on your device and is entirely under your control. Here's how to delete it:
- Delete a single entry. Open the relevant entry (a jab, side effect, note, weight log, etc.) inside Jabo and choose delete. This removes it immediately and permanently from your device.
- Delete all your data at once. Uninstall Jabo from your device (press and hold the app icon, then choose "Remove App" / "Delete App"). This permanently deletes your entire jab history, medications, side effects, notes, and settings, since none of it is stored anywhere except on your device. This cannot be undone by us because we never receive a copy of it.
- Revoke Apple Health access. In the Health app, tap your profile picture → "Apps and Devices" → Jabo, then turn off or remove access. You can also manage this under iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health.
- Request deletion of data held by our service providers. Limited data such as usage analytics, crash logs, subscription status, or the advertising identifier (IDFA) used for ad measurement is processed by third-party providers on our behalf (see "Third-Party Services Used" above). To request that this data be deleted, submit a request through our Contact page selecting Jabo and describing your request as a "Data Deletion Request". We will action verified requests within 30 days and confirm once complete.
- Cancel your subscription. Manage or cancel Jabo+ at any time in your Apple ID subscription settings. Cancelling stops future billing but does not itself delete your data — follow the steps above if you also want your data deleted.
Because Jabo has no central account system, we may ask for details like your device model or purchase date to help locate and delete data held by our service providers.
8. Your Rights
Depending on where you live (for example, under the UK/EU GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act), you may have the right to:
- Access the information we (or our service providers) hold about you
- Request correction or deletion of that information
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Receive a copy of your data in a portable format
- Know that we do not sell personal information, and will not do so
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in the "Contact Us" section below.
9. Children's Privacy
Jabo is rated 13+ and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal or health information from children under 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your region). If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us so we can delete it.
10. International Data Transfers
Our third-party service providers may process data in the United States or other countries outside your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for these international transfers.
11. Data Security
We rely on Apple's on-device security (including iOS sandboxing and encryption) for data stored locally by Jabo, and require our third-party service providers to maintain appropriate technical and organisational safeguards for data they process. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as Jabo evolves. We will update the "Last updated" date above, and where changes are significant, we will provide additional notice in the App.
13. Contact Us
